We have compiled a list of frequently asked questions for you here. You will find all the important information here. If you do not find what you are looking for, we are of course also available to answer your questions.

General information

When is the campsite open?

Our campsite is usually open from the beginning of April to the beginning of November. The current opening hours can be found on our website.

Is there a quiet period on the campsite?

Yes, the following rest periods apply to ensure a relaxed atmosphere:

  • Night-time rest: 22:00 - 7:00
  • Midday rest: 13:00 - 14:00

During these times, please leave your vehicle parked and avoid unnecessary driving on the site. It is not possible to drive onto the site during these times.

Request and reservation

Should I book in advance?

We recommend booking in advance, especially from July 1 to August 15, as the campsite is usually fully booked during this period. During the high season, the minimum stay for reservations is 5 nights.

How can I make a reservation?

Reservations can only be made using the form on our website. You can also check availability there by simply entering your travel dates. The available categories will then be displayed directly and can be selected.

If you have any questions or problems with your reservation, we will be happy to help you by e-mail or telephone during reception opening hours.

Is a deposit required for a reservation?

Yes, a deposit of €50 is required for pitch reservations. You will be informed of the exact amount and payment details when you make your reservation.

For log cabin reservations, the deposit is 30% of the total amount and is due at the time of booking. The balance must be paid 14 days before arrival. You will be informed of the exact amount and payment details when you make your reservation.

The booking is only valid once the deposit has been paid.

Can I cancel my booking

Yes, it is possible to cancel your booking.

How can I cancel my booking?

You can cancel your booking by telephone or e-mail. Please state your booking number and your contact details so that we can process the cancellation correctly.

Will I get my deposit back if I cancel my reservation?

Camping pitches:

  • If you cancel up to 30 days before arrival, your deposit will be refunded in full.
  • If you cancel between 29 and 15 days before arrival, a processing fee of €40 will be retained.
  • If you cancel 14 days or less before arrival, we will retain the deposit in full.

Log cabins:

  • If canceled up to 30 days prior to arrival, the deposit will be refunded in full.
  • If canceled between 29 and 15 days before arrival, 50% of the rental price will be retained.
  • If canceled 14 days or less before arrival, the entire rental price will be forfeited.

Check-In

When can I arrive?

  • For pitches: Arrival daily from 14:00
  • For log cabins: Arrival from 15:00

Can I arrive earlier than 2 pm?

No, regular arrivals are only possible from 2 p.m., as reception only reopens after the midday rest period. In exceptional cases, arrival before 12 noon is possible, but must be arranged in advance by telephone or e-mail. There is an additional charge for early arrivals.

Until when can I arrive?

In the high season the reception is open until 20:00. A later arrival is not possible. If you have made a reservation, we will keep your pitch free until 18:00. If you are late, please inform us by telephone in good time in order to maintain your reservation.

What do I need to bring with me on arrival?

Your booking confirmation (upon reservation). An identification document (identity card or passport). The full names and dates of birth of all fellow travelers. The license plate number of your vehicle. For easy communication, it is also helpful to provide a telephone number or e-mail address in case of any queries. If you have filled out our reservation form correctly and completely, the check-in process can be accelerated, as you have already reported all the required data.

Camping pitches

What types of camping pitches are available?

We offer the following types of camping pitches:

  • Standard pitches: At least 100 m² in size, with electricity connection, in some cases also water and waste water connection.
  • Comfort pitches: At least 130 m² in size, with electricity, water and waste water connections.
  • Super-comfort pitches: At least 130 m² in size, with electricity, water and waste water connections as well as a private rental bathroom directly on the pitch

Can I choose a pitch?

We try to consider pitch requests. However, the allocation depends on whether the pitch meets your requirements and is available. We cannot guarantee your preferred pitch. We reserve the right to make changes.

Do you have parking spaces in front of the barrier?

No, we do not offer special parking spaces in front of the barrier. There are short-term parking spaces in front of the barrier, which can only be used by day visitors and guests of the restaurant. Camping or longer parking in front of the barrier is not permitted.

Which cable or plug do I need for the power connection?

All our power boxes are equipped with CEE plugs (blue, standardized for camping and outdoor areas). We recommend that you bring an appropriate cable with you. If you do not have one, we can lend you an adapter or cable.

How long should my power cable be?

Our power boxes or power connections are always close to the pitch or directly at the pitch. However, it is advisable to have a cable with a length of at least 25 meters. If you have a shorter cable, we will be happy to provide you with one.

How are your power boxes protected?

Our power boxes provide 230 V and are fused with 16 amps.

How is the electricity billed?

Electricity consumption is billed according to actual consumption. All power boxes are equipped with calibrated meters. When you check in, you will receive the initial meter reading, which you are welcome to check. Please let us know the final reading on check out. Some of our pitches are equipped with remote reading. There you do not have to read the meter, but you can check it at any time.

What is the surface of the camping pitches like?

Most of our pitches have a grass surface. There are also some gravel areas.

Can I put plastic sheeting under my tent?

No, plastic sheets are not permitted as they damage the turf. Alternatively, you may use grass carpets that allow the grass to breathe.

Ein- und Ausfahrt

It is not possible to enter the campsite during the rest period. Can I still drive off the campsite?

Yes, you can leave the campsite at any time. However, we ask you to avoid unnecessary driving during the rest periods and only drive out in emergencies. Only the entrance is closed during the rest period

Your entrance is secured with a barrier. Can I drive onto the site with several vehicles?

Yes, all vehicles must be parked on your camping pitch. It is not possible to park in front of the barrier. Please state all license plates when you check in.

Is there WiFi on the campsite?

Yes, WiFi is available free of charge. You will receive the access data when you check in or at reception.

When is the swimming pool open?

The swimming pool is open from Whitsun to the beginning of September. Opening hours: Daily from 7:30 am to 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm.

Is the swimming pool heated?

Yes, our swimming pool is heated by an environmentally friendly solar thermal system. The water temperature corresponds to the usual temperatures in outdoor pools and can fluctuate depending on sunlight and weather conditions. Please note that we do not offer temperatures like those in a spa or whirlpool.

Is there an area for children in the swimming pool?

Yes, there is a separate children's paddling pool which is especially suitable for younger guests.

Are day guests allowed to use the swimming pool?

No, the swimming pool is only available to our overnight guests.

Are there special rules for the swimming pool?

In the high season, the swimming pool is only open to adults from 7.30 am to 9 am and in the evening from 7 pm to 8 pm. Please note the quiet times from 1 - 2 pm, when the swimming pool is closed. Persons responsible for supervision must ensure that children are supervised at all times. It is not permitted to bring glass bottles or other breakable objects into the pool. Jumping from the edge of the pool is not permitted

What sanitary facilities are available at the campsite?

Our sanitary facilities are modern and well maintained. They include: Showers and WCs. a family bathroom and a children's washroom. We also offer a separate, completely barrier-free bathroom.

Our sanitary facilities are designed to be accessible. We also offer a separate, completely barrier-free bathroom. Please let us know your needs when booking or checking in so that we can grant you access.

Can I rent my own bathroom?

Yes, we offer private rental bathrooms. Our Super Comfort pitches include a private bathroom directly on the pitch. Please note the minimum rental period of 4 nights.

Are there washing machines and dryers

Yes, we have two washing machines and two dryers in the laundry room. Coins and detergent are available at reception. Per coin 4€

Are there barbecue areas or fireplaces?

Yes, we have a barbecue hut which you can use by prior arrangement. Barbecuing with charcoal or gas barbecues is permitted on your own pitch. Open fires are not permitted.

Can I make cashless payments on site?

Yes, cashless payments are possible at the reception and in the restaurant. The self-service store also offers the option of card payment at the vending machine.

I am traveling by bike. Is there somewhere I can charge my batteries?

Yes, we have lockers with sockets for e-bike batteries or small devices such as smartphones. The lockers are located on the outside of the sanitary building on the side facing the swimming pool.

Leisure and activities

What leisure activities are available at the campsite?

We offer numerous leisure activities at our campsite, including A swimming pool with a separate paddling pool for children. A large children's playground. Outdoor fitness equipment for adults. A large chess field, a table tennis table, a boules/boccia court, a beach volleyball court and a soccer pitch.

Are there playgrounds or activities for children?

Yes, our campsite has a large children's playground with: Climbing frame, carousel, sandpit, ropeway, trampoline, slackline, swings and water games. During the vacations we sometimes offer children's entertainment.

Which hiking and cycling trails are nearby?

The area around our campsite is ideal for hikers and cyclists. There are well signposted cycle paths nearby. Maps, tips and brochures are available at reception.

Are there any excursion destinations or sights in the area?

Yes, there are numerous excursion destinations in the region. Find out more directly here on our website or on site at reception. We have a selection of brochures for your planning. We are also happy to advise you.

What public transport is available near the campsite?

Bus stops: Dornstetten Industriegebiet (approx. 1 km, 10 minutes on foot). Hallwangen Forststraße near Netto (approx. 1.5 km, 15 minutes on foot).
Railroad station: Dornstetten (approx. 1.5 km, 20 minutes on foot).

We will be happy to inform you at reception about departure times and possible connections.

Where can I get tickets for local public transport in the area?

When you check in, you will receive the KONUS guest card, which allows you to use local public transport throughout the Black Forest free of charge.

A separate ticket is required to take dogs or bicycles with you. You can buy these tickets: Online (depending on the transport association via the corresponding app or website). Purchase at ticket machines or points of sale on site.

Eating and shopping

Is there a supermarket or kiosk on the campsite?

Yes, we have a small self-service store directly on the campsite. This is open 24/7 and works on a trust basis. There you will find basic foodstuffs such as pasta, eggs, milk, cheese, sausage, jam and honey as well as drinks and sweets. Payment is made in cash, except at the vending machine, which also accepts card payments.

Is it possible to book breakfast or other meals on site?

We do not offer breakfast. However, you can order fresh bread rolls from our bread roll service or buy a coffee at reception. Please bring your own mug or cup for this. We have a restaurant directly on the campsite. On Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays Katrins Stüble opens from 12:00 noon, on these days a daily changing lunch menu is offered. On the remaining days Katrins Stüble opens at 2:30 pm. In the evening, à la carte dishes are offered from 6:00 pm. You can find the current weekly schedule and menu at Katrins Stüble and online on our website.

Is there a bread and rolls service?

Yes, our bread service is available from Easter to October. Only if ordered in advance. Always by 19:00 the day before at reception. Pick up from 8:00 am at the reception. You can pay for the rolls in cash on collection or have them added to your final bill.

Where is the nearest shopping facility?

The nearest major shopping facilities are in: Hallwangen: Netto supermarket (approx. 1.5 km, 10 minutes on foot). Dornstetten: Edeka and Lidl (approx. 1.5 km, 20 minutes on foot).
More detailed information on locations and opening hours is available at reception or when you check in.

Is there a gas service and can you also buy camping equipment?

Yes, we offer a gas service at reception. You can exchange blue Campingaz cylinders as well as gray 5 kg and 11 kg gas cylinders with us.

We also stock a small selection of camping accessories such as power adapters, gas regulators and other equipment you may need for your stay.

Dogs

Are dogs allowed on the campsite?

Yes, dogs are allowed on our campsite. However, dogs must be kept on a lead. Please register your dogs when you check in. There is a charge for bringing dogs.

Are there any restrictions for dogs?

Dogs are not allowed in the rental accommodation, in the swimming pool area, in the sanitary facilities or in the self-service store.

Are there special facilities for dogs?

Yes, we offer a dog shower which you are welcome to use. There are also bag dispensers for dog waste bags in the driveway. Please dispose of your dog's droppings in the waste containers provided.

Can I put up a dog fence?

Yes, you may erect a small mobile dog fence on your pitch as long as it does not disturb the neighbors and does not block the paths.

E-mobility

I drive an electric car. Where can I charge it?

We have two e-charging stations directly at the entrance. You can charge your vehicle here around the clock.

Can I charge my electric car at the camping site?

No, the infrastructure at the camping pitch is not designed for charging electric cars. Please use the e-charging stations with up to 22 kW, which are faster and cheaper.

How can I pay at the e-charging station?

Billing is handled by the company Inselwerke eG. You can use standard charging cards such as those from EnBW or the mobility+ app. Alternatively, you can also pay by credit card by scanning the QR code at the charging station.

Do I need a special cable for the e-charging station?

Yes, you need your own CCS cable for our e-charging stations. However, this is supplied with most e-cars nowadays.

Is the charging station publicly accessible?

Yes, the charging station can be used by everyone. It is located behind the barrier, but is also accessible from outside, as most cables are long enough

Safety and rules

What safety rules apply on the campsite?

Observe the speed limits posted on the play street (walking speed). Pay particular attention to children playing. Open fires are not permitted. Please observe the fire protection distances (caravans 2.5 m from the edge of the pitch). In case of fire, fire extinguishers are distributed throughout the campsite (see map). The quiet times (22:00 - 7:00 and 13:00 - 14:00) must be observed.

Are e-scooters allowed on the campsite?

No, the use of e-scooters is not permitted for children or adults on our campsite. We have found that they pose a safety risk – especially when used by children who are not authorised to ride them.
E-bikes are of course allowed, but must follow the traffic regulations as well as the walking speed limit on the campsite.

How is garbage disposed of

There are central waste stations on the campsite with bins for residual waste, paper, glass and plastic. Please separate your waste carefully and dispose of it in the containers provided. Bulky waste or large items may not be disposed of in the containers. Help us to keep the campsite clean by adhering to these regulations

Is there an emergency number or contact person on site?

In medical emergencies, please call the emergency number 112. Our team is available around the clock. In emergencies, you can reach us via the door intercoms at reception and next to the restaurant. Our staff are always available during reception hours. Note: A power failure is not considered an emergency.

Are there security measures, e.g. video surveillance?

Yes, some areas of the campsite, such as the entrance and the garbage containers, are under video surveillance to ensure the safety of our guests.

What happens in bad weather or storms?

We will inform our guests in the event of extreme weather conditions. Please secure your belongings. Stay in sheltered areas and avoid being outside unnecessarily.

Special offers

Does the campsite offer wellness services?

Yes, we have a beauty salon directly on the campsite. We also offer massages. We will be happy to inform you about available appointments at reception. We recommend booking early.

Can I hire bicycles or other equipment?

We do not hire out bicycles. The nearest bike hire shop is in Freudenstadt. However, for sports equipment such as table tennis bats, volleyballs or boccia balls, you are welcome to contact reception. An iron is also available.

Are there any offers for longer stays or seasonal pitches?

We offer annual pitches. However, all pitches are currently occupied and there is no waiting list. Please contact us for further information..

Check-Out

What are the departure times?

On the day of departure, the pitch is available to you until 12:00 noon. To check out and pay, please come to reception by 11.00 am. As the reception is usually closed from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm, we ask you to come early enough to pay.

For the log cabins, the house must be vacated by 10:00 am on the day of departure at the latest.

Can I leave later?

Late departure is only possible by prior arrangement with reception. It always depends on the availability and utilisation of the pitch. An additional fee will be charged for a late departure. Late departures are not possible in the high season or in the period from 1 July to 15 August.

Can I extend my stay?

We are pleased if you like it so much that you would like to stay longer. This is possible by prior arrangement and subject to availability. Please contact us at the reception.

Which payment methods are possible on departure?

You can pay for your stay on departure in cash, by EC card or credit card (Mastercard).

Can I pay for my stay in advance?

No, unfortunately this is not possible. As electricity is charged according to consumption, this is unfortunately only possible on the day of departure.

Other information

Are day guests allowed on the campsite?

Yes, day guests are allowed, but must be checked in at reception. After a stay of more than one hour, a fee will be charged. The swimming pool is reserved exclusively for our overnight guests.

I am not your guest. Can I still take a quick shower, fill up with water or empty the waste water?

No, our facilities are exclusively for the use of our camping guests.

I am staying with one of your annual campers. Do I also have to check in?

Yes, both day visitors and overnight guests must check in at reception in advance.

Can I have parcels or post delivered to the campsite?

Yes, parcels and post can be delivered to our address. Please state your name. We will keep the parcels at reception, where you can collect them during opening hours.
